Lena: My brother and I were both adopted as infants. My parents always encouraged us to search for our birthparents. I was able to learn that they were Filipino pediatricians doing their medical residencies when I was born. Although I located my birthfather, he never responded to letters that I sent. But I am hopeful that contact with my birthmother may happen soon, with some recently discovered information.

Sean: My twin sisters and I were adopted at birth, and knew little of our histories. When I was 21, my birthmother, Mary, actually hired a private investigator and found me! We keep in touch by regular phone calls and visits; Claire loves having another grandma. Mary is definitely an important member of our family!
